We could not resist getting back to Morocco. Passing again through the small streets of the Medina and hiking through the Atlas who didn’t let us leave, because of too much snow during a single night. But finally we relax at the Atlantic coast and watch the waves with the snowy Atlas in our minds.

The job captured my life - nevertheless time suffices for some nice projects.

Newly I took digital photos in Peru and Bolivia, what accelerated working out the huge amount of pics after our trip.

With the degree in our studies we went on through the Andes. Unreal landscapes and some curiosities were unforgettable. Occasionally we escape and saunter through the "Altiplano" in our mind...

After our triple graduation of University we start a journey through Peru , Bolivia and Argentina . Finally we complete the trip in Mexico and get back home for Christmas.

Photo section - Western Chilango Slanted #02

 

The second issue of the typography magazine Slanted deals with western style fonts. A photo section that I elaborated with Angela Lau treats of the impressions during my habitation of four months in Mexico City. During this period of four months I could observe and enter the urban Mexican culture.

A job as cycle messenger not only gave me the knowledge of the city, it merely showed me the meaning of earning Pesos. Beside interesting interviews and involvements of designers and typographers another photo section of Jeff Jacobson who worked for Magnum in the late seventies endorses this magazine.

Clandestina Trips shows in its last issue #44 some images of the city Fez in Morocco. In December 2004 I started taking photos at our bus crash on the way from Agadir to Fez.

Furthermore at Clandestina you get an interview with Sacha Dean Biyan, who leads us in a poetic way through his impressions as "Earth Pilgrim".

At the end of last year I could not take my loved bike to Mexico City, but Peter from the Messengers "Ciclos" borrowed me one. At least we spend only one afternoon with the camera in the traffic, but we enjoyed the slalom at the "Circuito Interior" in-between sneaking cars.

It was very hard to concentrate at photographing riding one-handed, but I survived and drank a healthy juice afterwards. The noise and some pics of the ride can you find here

During the last days I searched adequate music for the documentary pictures of Mexican urban life. The images of Mexico City mean a lot to me so it took me the most time to be satisfied with the synthesis of sound and images.

The first video shows instants of melancholy and sadness you can witness in the streets. The second one does not seem to be so different but it is accompanied by a love song. It shall show the different feelings I felt from day to day when I was walking through the same streets, but life seemed completely different although nothing had changed.
